We Have Arrived

The 2007 Operation Central America team arrived safely in Guatemala last night. We were about an hour late getting into town because our pilot was delayed, and then we had a dead animal on the runway in Guatemala City that delayed our landing. Several of the people on both flights commented on what a great group of students that we have on the team.

We stayed at a seminary in Guatemala City last night, awoke to an awesome breakfast and now are getting ready for the six hour bus ride to Campur. We will be stopping at some beautiful waterfalls that make an incredible swimming area before arriving in Campur. We are due to arrive in Campur at 5:00 this evening. We will have our first church service tonight. It should run about three hours. The mime team and childrens team will be performing and one of our students will share his or her faith story. Brian will be preaching. All of the ministry teams will begin the ministry that they have been training so hard for tomorrow.

We have been told that the teams will be busier than ever in Campur. Pray for safety as we travel on the road and for health. So far everyone is feeling great. All of our luggage arrived safely. We are looking forward to learning and serving.

We will update this again soon!

Brian: Be sure to tell Adam his iPod alarm went off this (Monday) morning, in his bedroom at 6 am--right on schedule! A nice little screaming techno number to start our day. Thanks, Adam! (Hope he got up alright.)
--Love to all from the Beaupres, and may the Lord grace the whole team with a safe, joyful, and effective start to the trip and the ministering.

    RELIENT K LYRICS

    "Pressing On"

    I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here.
Out of mind, out of state.
Trying to keep my head on straight.
    I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here.
There's only one thing left to do.
Drop all I have and go with you.

    [Chorus:]
Somewhere back there I left my worries all behind.
My problems fell out of the back of my mind.
We're going and I'm never knowing (never knowing) where we're going.
To go back to where I was would just be wrong.
    I'm pressing on.
Pressing on, all my distress is going, going, gone. (pressing on, pressing on)
And I won't sit back, and take this anymore.
'Cause I'm done with that, I've got one foot out the door.
And to go back where I was would just be wrong
    I'm pressing on.

    I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here.
Out of mind, out of state.
Trying to keep my head on straight.
    I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here.
    Adversity, we get around it.
Searched for joy, in you I found it.

You look down on me, but you don't look down on me at all.
You smile and laugh, and I feel the love you have for me.
    I think we're going somewhere.
We're on to something good here, and we're gonna make it after all.

Hey Guys... I thought that this was relavent...maybe not...maybe it's just me:)Maybe this is cheezy...but keep on going cause what you're doing is glorifying God. You may not know what in the world is going on but God has it under control and has a plan for each of you on this trip. It's amazing how you guys gave up part of your summer!!

Good to hear that you all have made it safely. I'm guessing that Brian is already not feeling well since it's the second day in country. I hope the next two week are filled with all sorts of adventures and abilities to show God's love through all you do.

Tell Kelly that Greg Gorham and I had a great birthday present for her but it already melted.

    Hi Krista,

It is really interesting to hear about Guatemala City and the different ministry opportunity in this city versus Campur. We continue to pray for all of you! I think that it is almost as hot here as it is in Guatemala...it is a little unbearable outside. Wow...you only have one week left! Enjoy every moment and keep us posted. We are praying that God will continue to use all of you, keep you safe and healthy and Bless you! By the way, Molly has been looing for you.

    Love,
