Malacatán - Service team

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Colossians 3:15-17

Worship and teaching at Ciudad Deseada have been Spirit-filled. Students have been challenged to consider God's truths.
- Do you believe God can do something, or that God can do anything? Nada es imposible con nuestro Señor. Nothing is impossible with our Lord.
- The price of God's love is so expensive that it's free.
- Spending the rest of eternity with you is not enough for God. He wants to spend time with each of us now, in the present.

Tonight Pastor Mark taught on 2 Timothy 1:6-8. Paul wrote, For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.

After tonight's church service, all of Guatemala is watching TV to see the national team play Argentina in soccer. The match is in Guatemala City. Billboards have been announcing the event as 11 Argentines against 14 million Guatemaltecos. Our Guatemalan friends are cheering for the home team, but most don't expect to beat the mighty Argentines.

The Service team has been painting to bless our host churches. The remaining work schedule includes construction work in the coming days. Photos are from a day with the Service team.
